Early in 2009, the McHenry County Board formed an ad-hoc committee (which included MCEDC) to work towards the formation of a Housing Commission to address the needs and challenges created by the economy and changes in the housing market. to be On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, the McHenry County Board adopted by ordinance the McHenry County Housing Commission. This Commission will promote and plan for mixed-income housing developments that meet local municipal and County needs while addressing broader regional sensible growth goals.
