McHenry County has two State Senate Districts, the 26th and 32nd and three State Legislative Districts, the 52nd, 63rd and 64th.

County:

County government is based primarily out of Woodstock, the county seat. The McHenry County Government Center, located on the north end of Woodstock along features county offices as well as judicial facilities. Several state agencies also have local offices in Woodstock. The county board is comprised of 6 districts with 4 county board members representing each district.

Local:
